Fun under the sun

The TNT Short course championships held over the weekend of 21-23 March brought together the talented and enthusiastic swimmers and volunteers of Papua New Guinea to The Ela Murray International School’s 25m pool in the nation’s capital.

The weekend of competition provided an opportunity for the BASC and LASC swimmers to showcase their talent with (twenty-five) (25) PNG records broken in the age, open and masters categories, the oldest one, an age record having stood since 1983 and fifteen swimmers gaining a place on the 2013/2014 National Kundu Aquatic Excellence Squads alongside 3 promotions. There were many enjoyable moments as 252 personal best times were set as swimmers raced the clock to seize the opportunity to stand on the medal dais with pride for their Club and the sponsor of the event TNT.
